Meet Your Instructors

Kari Lu (California)

Kari Lu was diagnosed with Hashimoto's hypothyroidism when she was 10 years old, and has been involved with fitness ever since. She started practicing yoga regularly 8 years ago when she was a full time student and simultaneously worked a full time job. Needless to say, she was stressed!


Yoga brought balance and peace to her life, and she also started to find relief from anxiety due to past traumas. Because of the joy and tranquility brought to her by yoga, Kari knew she wanted to teach yoga in some capacity when she moved to Los Angeles in 2014 to pursue an acting career. However, she thought yoga teacher training would happen 5 years after her move to L.A., once she settled into her acting hustle. Little did she know, the Universe had a different plan for her. Within the first year of moving to L.A., she was offered the opportunity to enroll in a yoga teacher training program, and 6 months after that first certification, she was teaching full time.


Kari Lu's passion for knowledge led her to become certified in multiple styles of yoga, including Yoga Sculpt, Power Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, and Partner Yoga. Kari Lu enjoys and finds benefit in multiple styles of yoga and fitness. She believes balance is key and participates in more traditional fitness endeavors (cardio, weight lifting), as well as yoga. She is also a certified Reiki master.

Asta Navasinskaite (Tennessee)

Asta discovered yoga approximately 14 years ago as a compliment to other physical activities.  Since that first class, yoga has been a regular part of her life. 
 Asta is E-RYT 200 certified to teach Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga.
“My goal as a teacher is to inspire a passion for the practice, because the practice itself, if done consistently, is the real teacher.”

Devon Smith (Florida)

As a former competitive gymnast, Devon is happiest being active! She is very excited to be joining the Active Workplace Team bringing her 20 years experience in group fitness instruction and 17 years experience as a personal trainer. She is a certified Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine and is also a Registered Yoga Teacher.

After obtaining her Master's degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from The American University in DC, she coordinated worksite wellness programs for Northrop Grumman while teaching credit-earning undergraduate health and physical activity classes at American University. She then worked at The National Military Medical Center at Walter Reed teaching adaptive fitness for Wounded Warriors and trained active duty service members to pass their biannual Physical Readiness Tests. In 2012, she was honored to earn a spot on the US National Assessor Team for the group fitness company Les Mills, where she evaluated and certified new instructors in various formats such as BODYPUMP.

Her personal philosophy is that every client has their own unique circumstances and goals. There is no greater joy than aiding and being witness to personal growth and transformation. She prides herself in being dedicated, knowledgeable, and committed to finding perfect fit and truth for each individual.

On a personal note, Devon moved to South Florida with her family in the summer of 2018 and enjoys rooting for her kids at neighborhood sports activities, reading good books, helping people find a home as a licensed Realtor, and enjoying all the outdoor and nature activities that SoFlo has to offer.

Tonja Bennett (Atlanta)

Tonja's passion for yoga and martial arts began over 20 years ago while attending Georgia State University when she became a volunteer trip leader for the Touch-the-Earth program.  She led hiking camping, rafting, skiing and horseback riding as well as environmental clean ups throughout the Southeast.  After completing her Masters in Neuroscience from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, her passion for ancient healing practices grew stronger.  

In 2010, she created YogaOnTheMove to inspire others to incorporate positive, daily rituals wherever one found one's self on life's journey.  Tonja is a member of Yoga Alliance and offers a coaching and Register Yoga Training programs: “Accessing the Inner Guru & Teacher Training programs” at the 200 and 500-hour levels, as well as teaching Continuing Education Courses in Yoga Studies.


Amber Dominguez

Amber is a licensed massage therapist, as well as a 200 HR certified yoga instructor.
